How to Build a Custom Hudl Template from Scratch using Pro Quick Draw

If our provided Hudl templates do not provide you the custom objects desired, you can create a layout entirely from scratch using Pro Quick Draw

Turn on the Template Editor Function & Create Template Foundation

  • Choose your slide orientation and size
  • Add your shapes and create the initial format for boarders& text boxes

Convert Text Boxes to PQD Text Boxes

  • Select the text box, change Group No. to the correct number
  • Click Apply
  • Do this for all the text boxes that will be associated with each drawing

Add Drawing Boxes

  • Click the Add Box button

The drawing areas are the last objects you want to add to your drawing

  • Size the Drawing area to fit the correct area.
  • Select the Drawing Shape, change Group No. to the correct number
  • Click Apply
  • If your drawing areas are all evenly spaced you can duplicate the drawing box and adjust the position.
  • Select the Drawing Shape, change Group No. to the correct number
  • Click Apply
  • Repeat this process until finished.

Add Hudl Data Boxes

  • Click the Add Box button
  • Select the text box, change Group No. to the correct number
  • Click on the Type dropdown and choose Hudl
  • Then in the Hudl dropdown select the data type you want this particular box to pull in from Hudl
  • Click Apply
  • Place it in the area you want it to get pulled into
  • Repeat this process for however many data points you want to pull in from Hudl

Save the File

  • Go to File Save As
  • Name your file and save it in the correct templates folder of your choice.
