Filters Overview
A filter is a question you ask of your plays — "third-down passes", "explosive runs", "everything except Trips". You'll build filters in several places around the app, but there's only one filter builder to learn. This chapter is that builder; the places it plugs in each have their own chapter.
One Filter Builder, Everywhere
The same two-view editor appears in all four filter homes:
-
The project filter — keep only the plays you want before anything generates, like an "Offense only" project from mixed film.
-
Filter rules — one playlist built from one filter.
-
Advanced Filter entries — a whole stack of named filters, one playlist each.
-
The Custom Filter on the bucketing rules — Wildcard, Down & Distance, and Field Position. That picker just points at a saved Filter rule, so there's no fifth editor to learn.
Every one of them shows two tabs: Builder — point-and-click, the default — and Expression — type it. They're two views of the same filter; switch between them any time.
