Connecting Your Video Platform Overview
Your film lives on Hudl, QwikCut, or Catapult. Connecting links that account to Cutup Generator so your games can flow in. It takes one login, and the app keeps the connection alive for you afterward.
Before You Connect
The integration area lives at the bottom-right of the workbench. What you see there
tells you where you stand:
-
A Connect to... button, you're not connected yet. It names your open project's platform, or your licensed platform. Click it to start.
-
Restoring… with a small spinner, the app is quietly reconnecting for you. No action needed.
-
License excludes (Platform Name), your license doesn't cover that project's platform. Contact support or renew.
-
A green dot + platform name, you're connected.
Which platforms you can connect is set by your license — the Hudl, QwikCut, and
Catapult extensions each unlock their platform.
Connecting Step by Step
Click Connect to (Platform Name).
Log in with your video platform account, the same email and password you use on Hudl, QwikCut, or Catapult, NOT your ProQuickDraw email.
Fill Email and Password and click Connect ("Connecting…" while it works). (Licensed for more than one partner? A picker step comes first.)
Two extra steps can appear, depending on your account:
-
Hudl only: if your account has two-factor sign-in, a Verification Code step appears ("Enter the code from your authenticator") — enter the code and click Verify. After the first success you usually won't be challenged again on this device.
-
Hudl / QwikCut with multiple teams: a Select Team step lists your teams — click the one you want. Single-team accounts skip straight through.
Your partner credentials are saved to the browser's password store, so future
reconnects happen automatically.
If something's wrong, the message says so: "Invalid email or password" means just that — retype and try again. A warning starting "No teams were found for this {Platform} account" means your video platform account needs access to at least one team before it can browse games — fix that on the partner's site, then reconnect.
Connected Menu
Click the green-dot partner button and a menu opens. The header confirms the connection — "Connected to {Partner} · {Team}".
The items, in order:
-
Upload Cutups… — enabled once playlists are loaded. Not
offered for Catapult.
-
View Cutup Job Status… — not offered for Catapult.
-
Download as Zip… — all partners; also needs playlists loaded.
-
Switch Team submenu — only when your account has more than one team.
-
Disconnect.
To its left sits the separate Player menu button (only with the Player Packages license): Publish as Player Package…, Manage Package Users…,and Manage Package Groups…
Staying Connected
Your connection survives closing the app. For about a day it restores instantly; after that the app silently logs back in with your saved credentials, that's the brief Restoring… you may notice at the bottom-right.
If a silent restore can't succeed — you changed your partner password, or a new verification challenge appeared — the button simply returns to Connect to {Platform}. No scary errors; just reconnect manually.
Disconnect (in the partner menu) signs the partner out on this device and stops the automatic re-login — a good habit on shared computers. There's no confirmation prompt, because reconnecting is only a click away.
