Column Sets Overview

What is a column set?

Your film platform tracks dozens of columns per play. A column set is your curated slice of them: the columns you actually use, in your order. Everything  else in the app builds on that foundation — folder rules bucket by these columns, filters ask questions of them, stats and charts count them.

Column sets are per-integration. They're built from your partner's own column list, so partner data never mixes — a Hudl set never appears on a QwikCut seat.

Where to manage them: Manage definitions (☰) → Manage Column Sets. Each row shows the set's name with its column and rule counts; Edit opens the editor, Remove asks first ("Delete "{name}"? This can't be undone.").

Create a Column Set

Click + New Column Set. It needs a partner connection — the columns are pulled live from your film platform (the button's hint says "Connect to an integration first to pull columns").

Give it a Name ("e.g. Standard Offense"), and the full partner column list arrives with every column pre-checked.

Then trim and arrange:

• Start from template — if your partner has its own column sets, pick one to check exactly its columns (and auto-name the set if you haven't typed a name yet). "All columns" re-checks everything.

• The Search box narrows the list; All/None check or clear what's currently listed — so you can search "kickoff", click None, and the rest of your selection is untouched.

• Drag rows to set the column order ("Drag rows to set the new set's column order."). Clear the search first — reordering is only available on the full list.

• Create needs a name and at least one column. A new set starts with empty rule, sort-rule, stat, and chart catalogs — you'll fill those from the editor.
